The New Jersey Symphony Orchestra presents Raiders of the Lost Ark with live orchestral accompaniment, January 6-8 in Red Bank, Newark and New Brunswick. The Orchestra performs John Williams' epic score as the film Roger Ebert called "a movie of glorious imagination and breakneck speed" screens above the stage. Steven Spielberg's timeless classic sees Harrison Ford's Indiana Jones on a quest to recover the legendary Ark of the Covenant and save the world. Constantine Kitsopoulos conducts.

Then, Music Director Carl St.Clair leads an ode to joy with Beethoven's famous Ninth Symphony, followed by a night at the movies with John Williams memorable score from one of the best-loved films, “Raiders of the Lost Ark.” Next up is Sheena Easton and “The Spy Who Loves Me,” featuring memorable music from James Bond movies and more; and finally, the Symphony's summer goes out with a bang for the annual favorite, “Tchaikovsky Spectacular,” bursting with cannons and fireworks for the “1812” Overture!

In its 103rd year, the Houston Symphony announced the upcoming season at Jones Hall on Monday, January 25, in front of several hundred guests and supporters, emphasizing the institution's ongoing collaboration with living composers, a continued focus on new music, a renewed concentration on innovative programming, and world-class musicianship and entertainment. Houston Symphony Music Director Orozco-Estrada, Principal POPS Conductor Michael Krajewski, and Executive Director/CEO Mark C. Hanson were on hand to unveil the new season and share their favorite highlights.

Kansas City Symphony Sets 2016-17 Season

The Kansas City Symphony has unveiled its 2016-17 season, including Classical, Pops and Family Series plus special and holiday concerts. The Symphony also revealed individual seats will replace bench seating in the Helzberg Hall Choral Loft at the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts prior to the start of the 2016-17 season.

Following up on the success of last year's two-part movie concert series, the San Antonio Symphony and the Majestic Theatre announce the 2015-2016 movie concert series focusing on two iconic films from master director Steven Spielberg - E.T.: the Extra Terrestrial on September 11-12 and Raiders of the Lost Ark on February 19-20. In addition to this year's movie series, the San Antonio Symphony announces its POPs rock concert series with Windborne's The Music of Queen on October 23 and The Music of Led Zeppelin on October 24. Amplified by a full rock band and accompanied by two outstanding singers for each program, creator and arranger Brent Havens guest conducts the ensemble as they capture Led Zeppelin's 'sheer blast and power and the legendary sound and music of Queen.' Both series of performances will bring innovative interpretations across art mediums to San Antonio.

Pacific Symphony's critically-acclaimed American Composers Festival (ACF) continues for the 14th year with 'From Screen to Score: New Concert Music by Famous Film Composers'-who happen to be four of today's biggest Hollywood heavy-hitters: John Williams ('Star Wars,' 'Raiders of the Lost Ark,' 'E.T., the Extra Terrestrial'), Howard Shore ('Lord of the Rings,' 'The Hobbit,' 'Hugo'), James Horner ('Titanic,' 'Star Trek,' 'Apollo 13') and Elliot Goldenthal ('Alien 3,' 'Batman Forever' and 'Batman and Robin').
