The Marvelous Wonderettes Photos - Off-Broadway

The highly anticipated UK Premiere of Off-Broadway smash-hit comedy musical The Marvelous Wonderettes is now in previews at Upstairs at the Gatehouse, Highgate Village, with Press Night on Thursday 11 April 2019 at 7.30pm and runs until Sunday 12 May 2019.

The girls with big skirts, big voices and big dreams are back with another musical trip down memory lane! Following last year's production of The Marvelous Wonderettes, Geva Theatre Center presents The Marvelous Wonderettes: Caps and Gowns. Written and created by Roger Bean with vocal and musical arrangements by Michael Borth, The Marvelous Wonderettes: Caps and Gowns is directed by Melissa Rain Anderson with musical direction by Don Kot and will be performed in the Fielding Stage from tonight, December 7, through December 24. The 2016 Music Circus season concludes with the Northern California premiere of a new musical from the mind of Victor Hugo, inspired by one of the most epic stories ever told: The Hunchback of Notre Dame. This daring production sets the classic tale of love, vengeance, and compassion to one of the most sweeping scores ever written for the stage. The show, featuring such classic fifties and sixties hits as 'Lollipop,' 'Dream Lover,' 'Stupid Cupid,' 'Son of a Preacher Man,' 'Hold Me, Thrill Me, Kiss Me,' and 'It's My Party,' stars Christina Bianco as Missy, Kathy Brier as Suzy, Jenna Leigh Green as Cindy Lou, and Sally Schwab as Betty Jean. Laura Woyasz also stars as the 'Wonderstudy'. This musical is based on the film noir classic by Billy Wilder that starred Gloria Swanson and William Holden. It is the winner of seven Tony Awards including Best Musical and features some of Andrew Lloyd Webber's loveliest melodies including, 'With One Look' and 'As If We Never Said Goodbye.'
